OBE Project -Promoting food security in Oyo State

OBE project set to launch in Ibadan on the 25th of April 2023.

The OBE project aims at equipping every household with valuable information and resources on how to grow all the foodstuff they need for soup, right in their compound.
This Ibadan launch would mark the second state that this project has reached. The first having been launched in Ondo state in 2021 under the initiative of Mrs Tomi Olatoye, the Vice Chairperson of Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association (OSACA).

She highlights the advantages of the OBE project as follows:
1. Ensuring food security for each household

2 Food sustainability scheme from one household to the other

3. Source or employment for women and the youths

4. A formidable source of poverty Alleviation

5. Providing access to fresh and varieties of vegetables

6. Creating streams of income for households, as excess harvest can be sold in neighborhood markets.

The Ibadan launch would also set the tone for many more to come in other states of Nigeria.
