Stevia Ambassador, Architect Muyiwa Ige speaks on the Sugar Plant

Arc Muyiwa Ige addresses the significance of youth empowerment in the South West region of Nigeria, with a focus on Cultivating stevia as a means of achieving this goal.

Youth empowerment entails equipping young individuals with essential tools, knowledge, and opportunities to enable them to be self-reliant, proactive, and successful contributors to society.

In the context of the South West region of Nigeria, known for its rich agricultural heritage, there exists a remarkable potential to cultivate stevia as a profitable business venture that can positively transform the lives of our youth.

Stevia, derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant, is a natural, zero calorie sweetener gaining global popularity as a healthier substitute for traditional sugar. Apart from its numerous health benefits, its cultivation in the favorable climate and soil conditions of South West Nigeria presents a unique economic opportunity for the region.

The Virtual Conference on Opportunities in Stevia and Medicinal Plants in Nigeria featured this insightful presentation by Arc Muyiwa Ige, highlighting the promising prospects of stevia cultivation and its capacity to contribute to youth empowerment in the region. In addition, an advantage of stevia farming in South West is that it remains untouched by cows. So it's safe to grow Stevia.

Arc Muyiwa Ige is our Stevia Ambassador for South West Nigeria.
